The New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses of Rutgers University are located in central New Jersey. New Brunswick, a thriving city with restaurants, theaters, and shops, is home to the oldest campus of Rutgers University. Located on the major Northeast Corridor train line connecting Washington, DC to Boston, New Brunswick is less than a one-hour ride to New York City, with service to Newark International Airport. Suburban Piscataway is home to multiple life sciences and medical school facilities of Rutgers. Students can choose to live in urban, suburban, or small town settings, all within a few minutes of campus. Graduate Student Housing
While some students choose to live on the Rutgers campus, many live off campus in the city of New Brunswick, the nearby town of Highland Park, or the suburban areas of Piscataway, Edison or Franklin.
