The Gormley Lab is developing a self-driving lab through the strategic integration of combinatorial polymer chemistry, robotics, and artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI/ML). Specifically, the lab is using this platform to create synthetic nanomaterials that mimic and interface with the cell’s machinery of proteins. Other projects in polymer science, nanomaterial self-assembly, and drug delivery help build a research program that ranges from fundamental science to nanomedicine.
