Dr. Matise is a Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Genetics. Her early work was in computational genetics developing and applying code to help map the human genome. Since 2008, she has been co-director of the Rutgers University Genetics Coordinating Center, a small group that helps run large-scale multi-institute genetics studies.
