  • Key Words: support graduate students

As Assistant Dean in the School of Graduate Studies and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Postdocs, I am passionate about helping biomedical graduate students and postdocs thrive while at Rutgers and launch them into their careers. To that end, I co-direct the iJOBS program that was originally funded by an NIH grant to help biomedical trainees explore career options both within and outside of academia. I also teach a course in Communicating Science for PhD students, teach Responsible Conduct of Research, oversee the Individual Development Plan programs, run a workshop and microbadge to train people to be better research mentors, offer professional development workshops on manuscript and grant writing and facilitate mental health resources for graduate students and postdocs.
