Research in the Cao Lab focuses on understanding how epigenetic regulation impacts cancer immunity. We employ bioinformatic tools and high-throughput screening to identify critical epigenetic regulators that influence the anti-tumor immune response. These potential targets are validated using cell-based assays and animal models, with the ultimate goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies to enhance the immune system's ability to fight cancer. By studying these regulators, we aim to uncover new pathways and treatment options that could lead to more effective cancer immunotherapies.
